Here is a recent session - a promotional shoot for Mrs. Bartlesville upcoming activities! It was rather unusual to be in front of the camera, but I like the end result! :)

Freedom Fest Fun!

Ah rain, why did you have to come to visit Freedom Fest? :) Even in spite of the wet weather, fun was had by all that attended. I had the pleasure of meeting Mrs. Oklahoma Heidi Ducato, and Miss Teen Oklahoma Danelle Cook. They were so nice and funny in person! We were able to lead and judge the kids parade and visit with many local residents in attendance. Thanks to the Bartlesville Kiwanis for hosting such a stellar event. The Red, White and Blue was present and the patriotism ran high! God Bless America!

Why I love Glam Sessions!!

There are many questions we get here at Belle Claire, but one of the most frequent questions we receive are about our Glam Sessions.

First, I feel I should explain why I love our Glam Sessions. It is because I get the opportunity to take a subject and by making the individual feel comfortable, I can create some amazing images. The Glam Session can be high fashion, formal wear, stylized or abstract in nature. It is entirely made-to-order! Some clients opt to get professional hair and makeup done prior to the session for the added Glam effect. The session takes about 2 hours. During that time we use props and take indoor and outdoor shots. After the session, we fully edit the images. Many customers claim that they feel they look flawless in their pictures.

The best reaction I have ever gotten was from a particular client, who after looking at her pictures was in tears - she said she did not know she could ever look that good. That is the best compliment we can receive here. The truth was that the client was beautiful with or without a Glam Session. It was just very rewarding that we were able to help her see it.

Thomas is ONE!

Last year, I had the pleasure to meet little Thomas M. He was an adorable, cuddly newborn then. Imagine my surprise when I got a chance to see him recently. WOW! He has grown into an adorable toddler. He was the perfect angel during our shoot, and was very laid-back. I even got a few pictures of him with his big brother Parker! Here are a few shots from the session.

The joy of volunteering...

I was recently honored with the opportunity of photographing the "Historian of the Year 2009" banquet honoring C.J. (Pete) Silas, and his wife Theo. It was a lovely event, with many prominent citizens of Bartlesville and Dewey present.

During the presentations, it was amazing how much the Silas' did for our community. The most inspiring part of the evening for me was when Theo gave her speech. She said she got great enjoyment out of being a volunteer, and recommended that others do the same. She said a life volunteering, is a life well lived. So true! It was amazing how much these two individuals accomplished with sheer determination, and a 'can do' spirit. It is a great lesson for us all.

Innocent Angel

Oh how I love baby sessions! I was honored to take pictures recently, of sweet Preslee. At 4 months, she is the epitome of innocence! On a cold afternoon, I captured some precious moments.
